However, its use should not be underestimated because you may run into some difficulties.<\/span>\r\n\r\nFirst of all the intensity of the light, which will obviously vary depending on the size of the window and the weather conditions outside.<\/span>\r\n\r\nBut let us start with the advantages of this lighting, which are the high quality of light, being solar light, and the simplicity in which it can be used. Suffice it to say that the size of a window generally corresponds to that of a large light panel and the light intensity is constant over the entire area . Moreover, it is practically free of the light fall-off typical of artificial lighting .<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe downsides of window lighting are that it is dependent on weather and the physical characteristics of the shape of the window itself.<\/span>\r\n\r\n\"d3xIt can be said that the differences in results that can be obtained from this lighting depend on 3 factors :\r\n\r\n1) <\/span>the width of the window<\/b> obviously determines the luminosity. but consider that a large opening provides not only more light but also a larger area and therefore more freedom of movement. A smaller window, on the other hand, generates a narrower beam and therefore a more pronounced and less diffuse and enveloping direction .<\/span>\r\n\r\n

For example, the best quality of light for a face is that which falls at an angle of 30-45 degrees, reminiscent of the Rembrandt style discussed in previous articles.<\/span>\r\n\r\nA French window or a low window produces a less pleasant light and is more difficult to manage as it is less homogeneous because most of the light beam falls on the floor causing a greater reflection from below which is completely unnatural. This can be remedied by shielding the base of the window or using dark fabrics placed on the floor or for the more experienced with light fabrics placed in front of the subject to dose the intensity of the reflection in order to use it as a brightening light for the shadows.<\/span>\r\n\r\n\"foto\r\n\r\n3) The orientation of the window <\/b>with respect to the sun is of great importance in determining the quality and type of lighting. For example, a window directly lit by the sun will require reflection techniques using panels and semi-transparent screens (e.g. blinds) while a window facing north will give a more diffuse, soft and very constant result throughout the day<\/span>\r\n\r\nConsider that ground floor windows in city centres have little exposure to the sky and are affected by all kinds of coloured surfaces, walls, plants, lawns, often causing colour dominants. Such dominants can also be used positively to create special effects.<\/span>\r\n\r\n

<\/span>\"\"<\/a><\/figure><\/div><\/div><\/div>\r\n\r\nHow to adjust the window light:<\/b> in short, roller shutters can be useful to regulate intensity but they do not improve quality because they cut off part of the light, so it is better to arrange dark boards or fabrics to reduce the opening area or white curtains to diffuse the light beams better, even a simple sheet can make a difference.<\/span>\r\n\r\nLighting technique with direct sunlight\r\n<\/b>Sunbeams coming in through a window constitute very high-contrast lighting that is unsuitable for portraits but interesting for nude photos for formal research, for example.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe sunbeam piercing the darkness has its own charm but almost always requires lightening techniques through diffuser panels to lighten and enhance the shadows.<\/span>\n\n\n\n
