EDITOR’S LETTER
What is art if not instinct dissolved and transformed into a chemical bond with molecules of culture, anthropology, empathy?
Why shouldn’t Nude, expressed in the most courtly matrix, be assimilated to Art?
Nude is ancestral but at the same time mental. Depicting Nude is like entering powerfully into instinct by mediating it with the levees of intellect, technique and imagination.
We were fed up seeing it being undervalued!
WE, were fed up.
The four of us, somehow connected by the artistic nude and its daily celebration.
Three men and a Muse: from “being photographed” to “photographing”, a thinking head.
Today she’s an editor, determined to take Glamour towards the places it deserves: art, fashion, aesthetic expression tout court.
Some photographers occasionally showed us this: Ellen von Unwert, Helmut Newton, just to mention two of them.
They were able to depict Nude as a philosophy with a high erotic rate, as incandescent lava in the somewhat snobbish and rarefied world of couture. “We are human, we are alive!”
Today we introduce ourselves. Donatella Bellicchi, Simone Angarano, Luca De Nardo, Luca Cassarà.
As we anticipated, Donatella is the trait d’union. Entrepreneur, model, photography and aesthetics enthusiast.
Three photographers by soul, by choice, by profession: with expressive codes that draw on different personalities, but all catalyzed by Glamour as a form of art.
Simone Angarano, who always reminds us of the dualism between Good and Evil, who manages to transform a pearl necklace into an archetype of constraint masquerading as kindness. He uses nude as a lexicon to talk about poetry or report violence.
For Luca De Nardo, photographing is “hunting, capturing essences and details of this absurd, tumultuous and unpredictable life”.
Luca (Kronos) Cassarà photographs to look at himself in a mirror, sometimes with a pure aesthetic sense, sometimes to tell a story.”
What they have in common is talent, love for life, the worship of beauty.
What’s our desire? To raise the level of Art&Glamour.
Why can’t a naked body coexist with current events, philosophy, art, everyday stories?
Why does it have to be restricted to a forbidden area?
This magazine was born to get out of the grey zone, to overcome the limits of conformism, to dare in a period where “being different” stops being classified as such. Different from what?
What’s the benchmark?
We are different from the mass stereotypes, that’s for sure!
We find ourselves here, enjoy your stay.
